The topic for my final project will be centered on the books and movies of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. A website I found on these topics is called TheOneRing.net: forged by and for fans of J.R.R. Tolkein (also known as TORn). This website contains news, information about parties, gifts to shop for, and other information concerning everything related to J.R.R. Tolkein’s books and now movies.

            Most of the links I found were related to everything middle earth. For much of the product there was a link to Weta, the company that made the armor, swords, and other materials used in the movies. There were also links to other fan sites and groups such as the Happy Hobbit on youtube. The use of these hyperlinks helped connect the J.R.R. Tolkein fan community with information, products, and even humor. The site encourages the use of these links by their placement, many of which were located under the, ‘community’ tab.
